Dot IT Domains

Established in 1987, Italy’s dot IT ccTLD is very popular both within the country and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for building inventive and catchy domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to have an easy-to-learn domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to come back to your website or to give it with coworkers and fellows. The extension can also be used for a website, which is linked to the information technology sector due to the fact that IT is an abbreviation, which is in use around the world.

Since dot IT domains are not registered directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that handles this extension, such a domain can be registered through a third-party provider, such as ours. We will handle the registration process for you and take care of submitting your application to the Registry organization. You can register a .IT domain for a period of one year at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to us and we will renew it after the transfer has been completed. The sole limitation is that the person buying such a domain needs to be located in a member state of the EU.

Because there are existing Second-Level Domains that include names of different areas and localities in Italy reserved for local third-level registrations, new names that include geographical regions of any sort are not permitted on any level to avoid any future confusion.
